At Peaceful Mind Practice, we offer a range of mental health services, including psychotherapy, comprehensive psychological evaluations, and medication management.
– Psychotherapy: Our therapy services provide a safe and supportive environment for clients to explore their concerns and develop practical strategies for overcoming challenges. We match you with a clinician suited to your needs.
– Assessments: If you need to clarify a diagnosis related to psychological symptoms or academic difficulties, our team of psychologists is available to conduct comprehensive assessments.
– Medication Management: Our psychiatric nurse practitioners collaborate with clients to find the most effective medication options, adjusting as needed to ensure optimal results.
From the moment you begin, you will be welcomed into a supportive environment where your concerns are heard. During your first session, we will conduct a thorough assessment, including your medical and psychiatric history, family background, and current challenges.
This helps us collaboratively create a treatment plan tailored to you. We offer supportive therapy, where we address immediate challenges, build resilience, and empower you to regain control of your mental health. Depending on your needs, additional sessions may be required to fully understand and address your concerns.
Results vary depending on your condition, treatment approach, and commitment to the process. While some clients notice improvements after just one session, others may take weeks or even months to reach their treatment goals. It’s important to start the process and stay committed to your personalized plan for the best chance of success.
We provide care for individuals aged 15 and up, including teens, adults, and seniors. We tailor our services to the specific needs of each age group, ensuring that everyone receives the care and attention they deserve.
Understanding the differences in mental health professionals can be confusing, so here’s a breakdown:
– Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP): A licensed advanced practice nurse with specialized training in psychiatry. PMHNPs assess, diagnose, and treat mental health conditions, including prescribing medications.
– Psychologist (Psy.D. or Ph.D.): A doctoral-level clinician who provides therapy and, in some cases, conducts psychological testing. Psychologists often specialize in specific areas, such as clinical practice or research.
– Counselor (LCPC): A licensed professional clinical counselor offering therapeutic services for a variety of mental health issues. They may also specialize in areas like trauma or substance abuse.
– Social Worker (LCSW): A licensed clinical social worker who provides therapy and counseling, with expertise in mental health conditions and a focus on social and environmental factors.
Currently, all appointments are conducted virtually. We are based in Ohio but are unable to offer in-person services at this time. We provide secure, HIPAA-compliant video sessions, ensuring a smooth and private experience.
We can assist with completing forms required for various purposes, such as school, work, or disability accommodations. However, we require that care has been established for at least six months to complete these forms accurately.
We have a 24-hour cancellation policy. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please do so at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a fee. Failure to show up or cancelling with less than 24 hours’ notice will result in a $60 fee, as we are unable to fill the appointment slot in time.
